This was a nice build. Slow paced, no big rush, nice materials, on the smaller side so no gruntin’ and groanin’ while moving lumber through the jointer/planer. Sycamore is a bit hard to find though. It has to be quartersawn for stability, has some variability in color, and is a soft wood. Not a real popular choice these days but has a grain pattern that’ll knock your eyes out.
It was finished with RubioMonocoat Pure 2C. Rub on, buff off, with a matte lustre. They say ‘monocoat’ but it takes 2 to give it a nice consistent look.
