This was all 8/4 Sapele milled to 1 5/8″ (except the plywood base material which is 3/4″ birch with a gazillion holes drilled into it…ouch, my aching wrists!) As I said the Sapele was stained with Dark Walnut and then topcoat with lacquer. Due to in-climate weather in my area I could not spray the lacquer so I had to brush it. Probably the last time I’ll do that as it didn’t level quite as well, but it does look nice.
Because of said in-climate weather I had to take photos in my shop. Not the most glamorous environment but you get the picture
